Friday 29 September 2017: Sydney & LA

We’ve been in the air for about half an hour. Beautiful day in Sydney and we were early so had plenty of time to relax at the airport including a quick jaunt into the Business Lounge for a glass of bubbles.

Beautiful smooth takeoff and stunning views over Sydney as we took off.

Started to watch Baywatch! Been busting to see it. But I’m starving so hopefully lunch comes soon lol and along with it a glass of bubbles to bring on the sleepies :)

About to get served lunch and a drink. Can’t bloody wait lol! Staff are very lovely and kind. Hopefully food is good!

Sooooo finally got fed. Had the most gourmet vegetarian lasagne with spinach and bechamel sauce accompanied by a garlic cibatta roll. Absolutely delicious! The chocolate pudding was too rich but the glass of red (and bubbles) hit the spot before the hot chocolate was served. I was starting to feel sleepy not long after but I still had to finish Baywatch. Very funny movie! Not best one I’ve ever seen but very good, certainly glad I watched it!

Awoke from a short nap to go for a little wander and along the way we discovered cheese, bikkies and Tim tams!!!!

So have dosed on and off since the last post. Kept putting new movies on and falling back asleep as soon as they started lol

Poor Kellie's screen isn’t working and we still have another six hours to go. Simon won’t be happy!

Trip has been fairly smooth so far with a few bumps here and there. I keep waking myself up snoring lol hope no one else can hear me!

Have been watching Big Little Lies.... so amazing!!! Less than 4 hours to go! I expect they’ll serve breakfast soon. Then the lady in front of me can put her seat forward. It’s basically laying on my legs :(

We arrived at 6.30am local time after approximately 13 hours. Jo and I went and picked up the rental car which is a Toyota Sienna and fits us all in well.

We drove to Hollywood and had lunch at the Hard Rock and after having lunch we went for a browse in Hot Topic, Sephora and Victoria’s Secret.

It was a typical stunning but stinking hot day in LA today and so as fast as we could we jumped back into the cool comfort of the car and headed back in the traffic for Anaheim. About half way we had to stop as I was wanting to fall asleep so we made a pit stop at Denny’s before heading to the hotel. What an absolutely perfect choice! We all have our own beds and mostly our own space. The room is huge!! We unpacked and headed off to Walmart for some supplies and then Denny’s for a quick dinner.

After some 48 hours since we last got into our beds, showering and falling into bed by 11pm was simply relief....
