Day 21: Friday 20 October 2017, Sydney Australia

Our last early start to the day with the alarm going off at 3.30am. All went smoothly to leave the hotel with the lovely driver picking us up on schedule at 4.45am. He giggled his face off at the amount of bags that we had between the four of us and called ahead to say no more room he was taking us straight to the airport.

A porter blessedly came and assisted us directly to the front of a very long line and we had our bags checked in before we knew it. All along I was worried about our excess weight in the carry on due to the plethora of coffee mugs that I collected along the way. I needn’t have worried as instead of giving me the third degree, Kellie’s very new mobility scooter (that had been from Sydney to LA to Memphis to Honolulu via Seattle) was questioned about its battery type etc for safety and security reasons. They were lovely and it was of course allowed to be stored in the plane however if nothing else it provides the distraction we needed to get our carry on on board :)

We taxied away from the terminal at 8.20am.

I settled in and once my entertainment started an hour into the flight grrrrrr and I had had breakfast I watched Baby Driver. Awesome griping movie!! Was on the edge of my seat. Emergency exit lots of legroom yay just nowhere to put my stuff lol

12.25pm: We’re nearly 4 hours in. Every time I think of seeing my babies I nearly cry. I can’t wait to see them!!!!!!!!

3.26pm

So had a little noisy nap (kids yelling everywhere) after finishing Everything Everything (fabulous movie btw) and discovered we have 2 hrs 44 mins to go!!!!!! Wooooooo!!!!! Also sitting by the toilet effing stinks. Just saying.

5.16pm

We have one hour to go!!!!! And are smack bang in the middle of the crèche on the plane. Toddlers everywhere and might I stress LOUD toddlers :( have my volume up as loud as it can go......

5.56pm (2.56pm Sydney)

We will arrive in 35 minutes or so early!!!!!!! Around about 3.15pm!!!!!!!!!!

3.18pm (Sydney time)

TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!!!!

The limo picked us up and took us back to Kellie’s house where we split up the luggage and TL came

and picked me up.

What a fabulous trip but I am soooooo pleased to be home with my babies xxxx
